Early Intervention services can begin before a child has a formal diagnosis. Research indicates that early and intensive services have the greatest capacity to support a client’s behavioral growth. These services are often provided in a combination of settings such as day school and in-home.
ABA therapy works its best when the treatment goals are supported by a client’s parents and caregivers. Parent Consultation is a service provided directly between Inspira’s Clinical Supervisors and a client’s parents to ensure that parents are using clinically appropriate strategies and reinforcing the ABA therapy work that the clinical team has been building towards.
A Functional Behavioral Assessment is an assessment conducted by a BCBA to determine the individualized behavioral needs of a client. An FBA seeks to define and understand the challenging behaviors of a client and present a solution specific to those behaviors. The assessment consists of observations, interviews and a review of records pertaining to behaviors.
ABA therapy works at its best when behavioral services are provided in a client’s natural environment– most notably in their home. Inspira’s Clinical Team of BCBAs, Clinical Supervisors and Behavior Therapists will work closely with your schedule to ensure timely and ongoing quality therapy that can be delivered in your home.
ABA therapy has been shown to be effective in academic settings, as well as at-home. Inspira works with several school districts and private schools to provide 1:1 support for our clients who require behavioral services in the school setting. Inspira aims to decrease maladaptive behaviors in the classroom and reinforce positive behaviors to ensure that clients are best able to succeed academically, socially and behaviorally.
While ABA principles remain consistent, Inspira understands that ABA can be uniquely applied for adults with behavioral needs. Inspira’s Clinical Team is skilled at providing tailored and individualized ABA therapy specific to an adult’s behavioral needs. Inspira’s aims to support our adult clients to live fulfilled lives and gain new skills to boost their quality of life.
Therapy and support at an early age can have a direct effect on your child’s brain development. This can change the course of your child’s life. With early and intensive therapy, your child can communicate better, letting you know basic things like what hurts or what they want. This reduces problem behaviors and boosts your child’s ability to learn.
ABA utilizes principles of behavior to make impactful social changes. School settings can present new challenges for children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Other children and distractions can also sometimes hinder their educational progress. Through ABA therapy in school, our team can help your child build lasting connections with peers while accessing the curriculum.
